Triden Health & Safety Policy Statement

It is my policy, in accordance with health and safety at work act 1974 to provide within my framework of the law good practice safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and system of work for all of my employees.

I am committed to providing sufficient resources to carry out the policy arrangements.

I also accept that I have a responsibility for health and safety of other people who may be affected by my activities.

In particular I have a responsibility;

  1. To provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions taking into account of any statutory requirement.
  2. To ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks.
  3. To provide training and instruction to enable employees to perform their work safely and efficiently.
  4. To provide and maintain plant and equipment.
  5. To make available all necessary safety devices and protective equipment and to supervise their use.
  6. To safe handling and use of substances.
  7. To maintain a consistent and continuing interest in health and safety matters applicable to the company’s activities, in particular, by consulting and involving employees wherever possible.
  8. To prevent accidents and cases of work related ill health.
  9. To review this policy at random intervals.

My employees have a duty to co-operate in the operation of this policy.

  1. By working safely and efficiently.
  2. By using the protective equipment provided and meeting statutory obligations.
  3. By reporting incidents that have led to injury or damage.
  4. By adhering to company procedures without exception.
  5. By adhering to the drug and alcohol policy.

The company health and safety policy will be reviewed regularly and additional guidance note prepared according for new aspects of work.
